Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Mother of Christ, marked the 40th Priestly ordination anniversary of Most Rev. Valerian Maduka Okeke and his annual feastday celebration on 18th December, 2021, at Villa Mater Christi, IHM Sisters’ Retirement Home, Nkpor, Anambra State.
The celebration started with a Holy Mass in the Villa’s Chapel.
“Be conscious of the Spirit and Charism, the lifestyle of the Congregation.”
“Be conscious of the Spirit and Charism, the lifestyle of the Congregation. Do not allow any other person to influence you …”, the Archbishop warned. This was an encouragement to live out the reason for our Foundation – our ‘Identity’ given the fact that our charism and those of other Religious Congregations are different.
The Archbishop expressed his gratitude for the wishes and prayers for him by the Sisters and for the services they render in the Archdiocese of Onitsha and the Church. He had an interactive session with the Sisters after the Mass.
Entertainment followed in the Auditorium of the IHM Secretariat, Nkpor.
Mother Mary Claude, the Superior General, appreciated the Archbishop on behalf of the Congregation for what and who he is to the Congregation.
